HTC One - Premium Grade, Reliable and Beautiful but whats happened to QA?

So, I purchased an HTC One after so much hype, news and publicity, I had to get a personal taste myself.  It's now been 3 weeks of playing with the device and can say overall I'm impressed. The sturdy design and aluminum construction is ultimate in qualify and right up there with the iPhone (well maybe).  However, compared to the other leaders in this space such as the Samsung Galaxy S4, which is all plastic, the HTC One stands it's own.

The device is packed with a full 4.7 inch HD screen, which brings a 468 PPI, 1080P that mage is clear and crisp and honestly, very much capable of standing next to the iPhone without anything to shame. On top of that, with it's powerful Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600 quad-core CPU clocked at 1.7 Ghz, a more-than-enough 32GB of storage (64GB option is available) and top-end Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G / 4G LTE connections, all topped off by a completely re-imagined version of HTC Sense 5.0 and introduction of HTC's BlinkFeed™, what more can you want?

How about the new HTC UltraPixel Camera?  Is it all hype or just a clever marketing tactic to make you wonder why you needs all those Megapixels?  Honestly, I have been using the camera in several types of environments and find that all though this new technology claims fame in low light conditions, I am not impressed.  I have not had success in any night shots appearing clear and in most cases, consider this technology useless.  However, daylight pictures appear great and not pixelated.  HTC has introduces ZOE, as they put it; Press the shutter and the HTC One automatically captures up to 20 photos and a 3-second video—a picture that’s alive. So your entire photo album becomes a living, breathing gallery.  With all this technology, thankfully HTC has provided a huge 2,300mAh battery to power the fast processor and bright screen but performance isn't great.  I'm lucky if I get a full 10 hour day of productivity of emails, light browsing and texting before I need to find a wall plug.

All in all, the HTC One has much to offer and its' sleek design makes it very desirable.  If you are in the market for a new device, I highly recommend you evaluate this as an option.
